About CIE:
The CMR College of Engineering & Technology (CMR CET) launched Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) to the Ideas of Students into Business outcome with an objective of Foster and encourages Entrepreneurship; Commercialize technologies based innovations & develop eco-system for sustainable holistic growth under the dynamic leadership of Shri. Ch. Gopal Reddy, Secretary of CMR GI. The CIE is headed by Dr. Suresh Merugu, Professor of ECE, CMR CET. Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. V. A. Narayana & All the HODs the CIE is rapidly growing and established Five Startups in the Medical & Mobile Security, Defense, Robotics, and IOT Domains. The CIE has received more than 200 Ideas from different domains which include Computer Technology, Health & Medical, Agriculture, Mobile Security, Teaching Aids, Transportation & Shipment, Food and Supply Management, Defense, Robotics, IOT etc. CIE will involve activities around building start-up ecosystem like identifying areas of focus and market relevance, building investor relations, business partnerships, leveraging government programmes and accelerating initiatives.About CIE:

MOU Exchange Program:


TIE Grad, the organization which transforms student’s creative ideas into a reality had an MOU with the CMR Group of Institutions. The Secretary & Correspondent Mr. Ch. Gopal Reddy and TIE Grad exchanged the documents in the presence of the Directors and Principals of CMRGI, Deans, HODs, faculty and the students.

Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are the people who have the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate current and future needs and bring good new ideas to market. Entrepreneurs who prove to be successful in taking on the risks of a startup are rewarded with profits, fame and continued growth opportunities. Answering the students queries, Mr. Subba Raju Pericherla, Co-Founder & CSO Cross B orders and Real Shoppee and Mr. Raj Samala, Founder, Revalsys Technologies, told about how to become a successful entrepreneur (from Education to Entrepreneurship) with in college courses in ideation, business management, new venture creation, how to identify entrepreneurial opportunities and much more.

On this day around 18 teams from various departments have participated, in which 6 teams have been shortlisted. It has been conducted after the session of MOU Exchange Program, which is known as idea pitching session conducted on 5th Jan 2019.
