Dr.B.Premalatha
Dr. B. Premalatha is a Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and serves as the Head of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at CMR College of Engineering & Technology. She completed her bachelor’s degree in ECE from NBKRIST affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University in 2002, Master’s degree in ECE from JNTU Hyderabad in 2009. In 2019, she completed her Ph.D. in ECE from Acharya Nagarjuna University on the topic “Performance Evaluation of Several Band-Notched UWB Patch Monopoles.”
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Premalatha has made significant contributions to her field. She has published more than 30 research papers in various SCI and Scopus indexed journals. She holds four filed patents, one of which has been granted. Her primary areas of interest are in RF & Microwave Engineering field, smart and MIMO antenna design.
Dr. Premalatha has supervised more than 10 MTech student projects and has been invited to deliver talks and lectures at both national and international events. She has also been actively involved as an organizing member of several international and national conferences. she serves as a review board member (Scopus/SCI) for several prestigious journals. She has received Best Paper Awards in 2019 and 2020. As the head of CIE, she is organizing various events such as hackathons, ideathons, startup programs, and guest lectures by entrepreneurs to inspire students towards innovation and entrepreneurship.
