Dr. Prasad Bollini is a distinguished academician and administrator, currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at CMR College of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Hyderabad. With a strong academic foundation, he earned his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, followed by a Master of Technology in Transportation Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. With more than 17 years of rich experience encompassing teaching, research, academic administration, and industry exposure, Prasad Bollini has made notable contributions to engineering education and research. His teaching interests span core areas of Civil Engineering, particularly Transportation Engineering, Infrastructure Planning, and Applied Research Methodologies.

He is known for adopting outcome-based education practices, innovative pedagogical approaches, and mentoring students toward research-oriented learning. Dr. Prasad Bollini has an impressive research record, having published over 20 research papers in reputed National and International journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include transportation systems, traffic engineering, sustainable infrastructure, and applied civil engineering solutions.

He has actively guided 15 postgraduate dissertations and more than 50 undergraduate projects, many of which address real-time engineering problems and societal needs. In recognition of his excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership, Dr. Bollini received the prestigious “Uttama Acharya Award” from the Association of IT Companies of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2019. He was also honored with the Innovative Research & Dedicated Academician Award by SIESRP in 2020, acknowledging his commitment to quality research and student development. He has demonstrated strong research leadership by submitting one research proposal to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and two proposals to the Telangana State Council of Science & Technology (TSCOST), which are presently under review. In addition, he has submitted a proposal to AICTE–ISTE for organizing a Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) aimed at enhancing faculty competencies and industry relevance.

Dr. Bollini is actively involved in professional bodies and academic communities. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), a Member of the Institution of Engineers (India), and a Fellow of the Society for Engineering Education Research and Practice (FSIESRP). He also serves as an Editorial Board Member of reputed journals such as the Journal of Engineering and Technology Research (JETR) and the Journal of Engineering, Technology and Management Studies (JETMS), contributing to peer review and scholarly publishing. Within his institution, Dr. Bollini has efficiently handled several administrative and leadership responsibilities, including In-Charge Head of the Department, Examination Branch In-Charge, and various committee roles related to academics, accreditation, and quality assurance. His administrative experience has played a vital role in strengthening departmental performance, curriculum development, and institutional compliance with accreditation frameworks such as NAAC and NBA. An active participant in continuous professional development, Dr. Bollini has attended over 80 national and international conferences, workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and webinars. He has also delivered four invited guest lectures at various engineering colleges, sharing his expertise with faculty members, researchers, and students. Through his sustained efforts in teaching, research, mentoring, and administration, Dr. Prasad Bollini continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of Civil Engineering education, research culture, and institutional excellence.
