The Computer Science & Engineering Department is dedicated to producing competent and industry-ready computer engineers capable of meeting the dynamic demands of the digital world. Students are equipped with strong foundational knowledge in computer science along with essential professional and problem-solving skills required to face future technological challenges. The faculty and staff are fully committed to achieving this objective by continuously enhancing academic and practical learning experiences.
There is a well-known saying: “Tell me, and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand.” This philosophy highlights the importance of hands-on learning and industry exposure in engineering education. In line with this, the department regularly organizes industrial visits, internships, workshops, hackathons, and expert lectures in collaboration with reputed IT industries and research organizations. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.
The department is supported by state-of-the-art laboratories designed to provide comprehensive practical training to students. These laboratories complement classroom teaching and enhance experiential learning. The facilities include Programming Lab, Data Structures Lab, Database Management Systems Lab, Operating Systems Lab, Computer Networks Lab, Software Engineering Lab, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Lab, Data Science Lab, Cloud Computing Lab, Cyber Security Lab, and Project & Research Labs, covering a total area of approximately 1000 sq.m, all maintained by skilled technical staff.
Advanced software tools and platforms such as MATLAB, Python, Java, Oracle, MySQL, Linux, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS, and open-source development environments are extensively used for academic and research activities. The department is strengthened by highly qualified and dedicated faculty members with Ph.D. and M.Tech qualifications, who play a vital role in mentoring students, fostering innovation, and guiding them towards successful careers in industry, higher education, and research.
